At CSI Electrical Contractors, we seek to help students transition into the workplace by providing an immersive internship program that prepares them for successful employment in construction. We offer internships with opportunities to explore engineering, preconstruction, construction management, and more, depending on your skillset and desired growth path.
As a product of the intern program myself, I can definitely say that CSI’s ultimate goal is to find the best fitting talent out there. In order to do this, our company does not shy away from delegating “real world” tasks that are vital to the industry, giving our interns a good taste of what will be expected of them in their future career paths, should they choose to continue in our industry.Alejandro Valencia Senior Estimator, Mentor, Former Intern

Two things make CSI an exceptional company to work for: its leadership and its culture. The leadership at CSI continues to push me to reach my highest potential and advance in my career while also supporting me when I decided to start my own family. As a woman in construction, I truly appreciate CSI’s support in achieving that work-life balance. I have seen CSI grown tremendously in the past eight years, but it has maintained its friendly, family-style, and collaborative culture. I am grateful for CSI’s commitment to its employees, serving our customers, and establishing lifelong relationships.Morgan Gunn Senior Project Manager, Mentor, Former Intern
From day one as an Intern, I contributed to “real life” construction projects. This is an extremely fast-paced environment where you will be constantly tested and expected to meet attainable goals. Going through an internship can be quite stressful, but there is constant support from your team members. I was paired with my Project Manager, who has assisted me every step of the way since I’ve joined the Company. Now, as a full-time employee, I can truly say that the Internship experience is extremely valuable for anyone who wants to get an amazing insight into the Construction World!Stevan Vargas Project Engineer, Former Intern

The internship program is a great opportunity to get exposed to the working industry. In life, we must challenge ourselves to be better, and here you are presented with those challenges.Lillie Gracia Assistant Project Manager, Mentor

CSI has been an amazing career for me for the last six years. What has kept me here has been the culture and sense of community within the company. From being an intern here to becoming a full-time employee, I have always felt CSI treats its employees with trust and respect to make it a great workplace all around. The mentor program for interns is a great way to show young professionals what CSI is all about and give them valuable experience working on different construction projects.Al Cota Project Manager, Mentor, Former Intern

My summer internship at CSI left me desiring a full-time position in electrical construction. Coming from a Mechanical Engineering background, I enjoyed implementing what I knew from college from electrical theory and the internship and how they both are needed for construction. Almost everything you learn in college is theory, and you usually don’t get to experience how all of it is applied first-hand; however, this internship teaches real-world applications. I now have a respect for how buildings receive electricity, something I didn’t even realize I took for granted.Kyle Huitt Project Engineer, Former Intern
