Troy Carlton

President - Northern California Region

Beginning his career as a union apprentice in 1990, Troy worked his way through the trade as an electrician, Foreman, and General Foreman. In 2004, Troy became a Project Manager, which facilitated a move to the corporate office and allowed Troy to experience and understand a new side of the business. Because of his experience, Troy excelled as a Project Manager and grew an even deeper appreciation for his team in the field. Troy made it a personal goal to eliminate any field obstacles to create an optimal environment for his team’s success, and it showed.

Troy has captained a wide variety of successful projects from Co-Generation Power Plants, schools, hospitals, high-rise core & shell, central plants, medical office buildings, tenant improvement spaces, and more. As the President of CSI’s Northern California Region, Troy oversees CSI’s Northern California operation, ensuring that all projects are delivered with excellence and care.

When Troy is not at CSI, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wonderful wife, to whom he attributes his success to.

“The electrical industry has changed a lot since I began. When I started, we did all our coordination with pencil install drawings and light tables for overlays. Now we are building projects in the virtual world long before we step foot on the job. CSI is a leader in leveraging these new technologies to maximize project efficiencies, keep budgets on target, and ultimately build better projects that we’re proud of."
