Matt Johnson

Matthew Johnson joined CSI in 2007 as it progressed into an extreme growth period. He has watched CSI maintain its family-style environment while taking on bigger and more exciting projects.

In his role as Vice President of Preconstruction & Estimating, Matthew works closely with clients and the design team to translate abstract ideas into a meticulous and accurate action plan, based on constructibility, codes, design capability, historical data, and industry trends, Matthew and his team provide detailed proposals with precise estimates and transparency based on limited information. His motivation is to propel projects from conception to reality without selling a bill of goods he can’t honor.

Matthew got his start in the electrical contracting industry in 1999 by completing a four-year apprenticeship through Associated Building and Contractors, one of the nation’s leading construction industry trade associations.

On the weekends, Matthew can be found taking his family rock crawling in his Jeep or engaging in competitive BBQ.
