David Kang

David joined CSI in 2010 to be a part of our rapidly growing renewable energy team. After two years, he transitioned to our construction group to focus on large-scale commercial opportunities as a Project Manager and soon progressed to the role of Project Executive. David has been involved in some of CSI’s most technically challenging design-assist and design-build projects in healthcare and higher education.

In 2020, David began leading CSI’s engineering team that supports estimating, project management, field operations, and prefab with technology and electrical design services. David drives innovation and efficiency throughout the entire project life-cycle by focusing on team communication and collaboration. He now leads CSI’s business development, estimating, BIM detailing, engineering, and lighting support teams.

David is a licensed Electrical Engineer in the State of California. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.S. in Civil Engineering (Construction Management), and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He has also had the privilege of teaching MEP Systems classes at Cal Poly Pomona and the University of Southern California.

Outside the office, David enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and playing golf.
