Overview

Built on 1,900 acres of retired agricultural land in Frenso, CA, the Tranquility Solar Facility generates 200-megawatts (MW) of power annually.

The Tranquility Solar Facility began operation in the third quarter of 2016 and consists of more than 800,000 polycrystalline, photovoltaic solar modules mounted on tracking tables. CSI Electrical Contractors, Inc. worked with IBEW local 100 and the surrounding communities to build a workforce to install all the solar modules which created over 450 peak construction jobs.

In addition, the Tranquility Solar Facility received an Honorable Mention in Renewable Energy World’s 2016 Project of the Year Awards and continues to be benchmark facility in California.
