citizenM Downtown Los Angeles Hotel

The citizenM Downtown Los Angeles Hotel is a new 11-story, 315 room hotel on South Spring and West 4th Streets.

Built using preconstructed modular guestrooms designed by CSI, the citizenM Hotel offers guests affordable luxury in a convenient location. The hotel features modern guestrooms controlled by the in-room iPad or mobile app, the canteenM bar, a retail shop, free Wi-Fi, a gym, and community spaces to relax and socialize.

Construction of the citizenM Hotel was unique in that the prefabricated rooms were stacked using a crane, similar to stacking Legos. This method of construction created repetitive elements to aid the process and reduce the project timeline.

In addition to designing the guest rooms, CSI designed the electrical for the community spaces, including the first and second floor, roof level, guestroom floor corridors, and utility rooms.

Not only is the citizenM Hotel the tallest modular building in California to date, but citizenM is ENR California & Northwest’s Owner of the Year. To read more, click here.
